By Ankita Shaw-Kolkata, August 2026: Samaj Sebi Sangha celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with an inclusive community programme bringing together local residents, parents, guests and special children.
The celebration began with an assembly at the Puja Mandap, followed by a Flag Rally and Flag Distribution Drive. Participants carried the Tricolour through the community, spreading the message of unity and patriotism.
The main programme included the Flag Hoisting ceremony, followed by the National Anthem. The celebration then continued with a cultural programme presented by special children through songs, dances and recitations.
The performances by the children added a special touch to the celebration and highlighted the importance of inclusion, equal participation and togetherness.
Through the initiative, Samaj Sebi Sangha aimed to make Independence Day a celebration for everyone while promoting the values of unity, dignity and community spirits.
